| Ousted JCC Bank Chairman continues to enjoy freebies at bank's expense | | | Sumit Sharma JAMMU, June 5: Notwithstanding the terrible mess that the Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) has put itself in, which is reflecting in its standing and repute, the ousted chairman Mohinder Singh continues to use vehicles of the bank including Tata Safari JK02AC/4019 and Ambassador bearing registration number JK02AH/6183, further pinching the bank exchequer. The disclosure was made when the management of the Bank sent an old vehicle to receive the administrator namely Mufti Farid-ud-Din appointed by the Government at the Jammu Airport. Fumigated over the dilapidated condition of the car sent to him, the administrator expressed his anguish to the bank officers who had gone to receive him. On being inquired he was informed that the two vehicles of the bank are still at the disposal of the ousted Chairman. It is reported that the administrator has lodged complaint with the seniors against the undue privilege being granted to former Chairman. Meanwhile, the administrator has started operation clean up in the bank making four transfers straight a way which include Assistant General Manager Mohd Mushtaq from Doda to Rajouri district, Branch Manager Parmanand from Rajouri to R.S Pura as branch manager, besides two others. The exercise in this connection was in progress and more transfers are expected. The administrator met the bank employees and sought their cooperation for the welfare of the bank, which was assured by the latter. Meanwhile, in the latest development, the ousted Chairman Mohinder Singh, had been summoned by the High Court Srinagar to file objections on June 13. Sources confirm that Mohinder Singh who flaunted his allegiance with the ruling dispensation has reportedly been dumped by his patrons. Worthwhile to mention here that Government appointed Joint Registrar (Admn) Cooperative Societies, J&K to look after the affairs of the bank after High Court, Srinagar restored the previous order No RCS/LS/566- 568 passed by the Registrar Cooperative Societies, J&K, Srinagar wherein he ceased the powers of Board of Directors of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Limited Jammu. Earlier, Mohinder Singh managed stay order from The Judicial Member Jammu and Kashmir Special Tribunal, Jammu, challenging jurisdiction of Registrar Coop Societies. The Registrar Cooperative took cognizance after a complaint was filed by Multipurpose Cooperative Society Muthi Rakwalan district Kathua through its President claiming that election has been conducted without prior knowledge of the society and without proper publicity. He further claimed that the election has been conducted by flouting all norms in which Mohinder Singh get himself elected as chairman in hush hush manner. |
