| Omar led Government hailed for conceding employees demands | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 5: Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) unit Kathua has hailed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his Cabinet colleagues for enhancing the retirement age of State employees from 58 years to 60 years and also conceding other long pending demands of employees. In a meeting held under the President ship of Kuldeep Singh, the members thanked chief minister Omar Abdullah for enhancing retirement age of state Government employees from 58 to 60 years, recruitment age from 37 to 40 years, withdrawing all cases under "ESMA" instituted against the employees leaders, and also constituting a Committee under Chief secretary to study all other demands of the employees outside the ambit of finance Department for reporting with its recommendations in one month's period. Members hoped that all pending demands will be conceded at the earliest as agreed from time to time in the previous agreements with the state Government and JCC Leaders. The district leaders appealed the employees to remain united for the cause of the working class community. They also urged state government for early removal of pay anomalies of Clerical cadre, pre-revised grade 6500-10500 and other cadres. They also thanked JCC state leaders namely Ab Qayoom Wani, Khurshid Alam and President Non-Gazetted secretariat Union leader Rouf Ahmed for their dedicated leadership.
