| Kichloo conducts extensive tour of Kishtwar town | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, June 5: Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today conducted extensive tour of Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas wherein several people appraised him about the various problems faced by the people including shortage of drinking water, non availability and non functional of street lights, poor sanitation in Municipality areas, beside several other issues including poor conditions of city roads. While talking to general public, Kichloo informed the people that government has sanctioned over Rs 100 crore water supply scheme for Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas. He said that under this scheme, their is provision of lying of upper ground water pipes in each ward of the municipality and also in adjoining areas, beside over head water tanks in each ward. He said that government has accorded sanction to 2600 dust bins for Kishtwar town which will be provided to each house hold so that waste material could be assembled inside each house. He said that more dust bins were installed at different locations, besides more vehicles were pressed into service for speedy collection of waste material. He said that work of blacktop on city roads has been started from Bus Stand Kishtwar and added that within next few weeks all the city roads will be blacktopped. |
