| Mission Pre Monsoon: JMC takes up cleaning up of Nallahas of Jammu city | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 5: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) continuing its drive to clean up the Nallahas of Jammu City before the onset of Monsoon season started its operation from Shakti Nagar nallah which starts from Rajpura continues to A G Office. "Operation clean up was undertaken in hand a week ago and JMC resources collected 250 nos of truck load of waste/garbage using JCB and other allied machinery as well as man power from said nallah, spokesperson said. He added that JMC shall continue similar operation in other Nalluhas in the coming days so that there might be no overflowing or flooding of sewage during monsoons season. "It is further appealed to al the citizens of City not to throw any material especially building material which obstructs the free flow of Nalluahs, he added. Meantime Municipal Veterinary Officer, Dr Zafar Iqbal along with field staff on the directions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kiran Wattal conducted a drive against adulteration of milk in the areas of Jogi Gate, Quasim Nagar, Baghe Bahu and Bave etc. "About 70 quintals of milk was checked and fine to the tune of Rs 4500/- has been realized from defaulters, spokesperson said. JMC has appealed to all the Shopkeepers/vendors especially those dealing with milk to maintain hygienic environment and quality of products. |
