Jammu, Jun 5: The National Executive Council meeting of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) concluded at Sangh Niketan Mangalore in which 5 delegates from Jammu and Kashmir participated. Addressing joint press conference by Pawan Sharma, ABVP State Organizing Secretary Jammu- Kashmir, Balbir Singh State joint secretary, Sanjay Verma State Convenor YAC and Kuldeep singh NEC member informed. They said that the meeting was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp by Prof. P Murli Manohar, ABVP national President and Shrihari Borikar, National General Secretary. In the meeting various issues including current political scenario of the nation and issues pertaining to the educational field were discussed. ABVP delegates and National Executive Committee members from across the nation participated in the meeting including 5 delegates from Jammu & Kashmir. A civic felicitation program was also organized to introduce the delegates to the culture of the coastal belt of India.Pawan Sharma further said that, resolutions on various issues like the national scenario, educational issues national security, Security for women were passed in the meeting. The main resolutions which were passed include "central legislation required to check commercialization of Education," "student union must be compulsory in all higher educational Institutions in the country", "spread of drug addiction; a serious threat to Young India", "Attain respectable place in Olympic 2020", "Funding to State Universities in The Same Proportion As Central Universities: Need of the Hour". |
