| SRTC drivers hold meet | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 21: A meeting of drivers of J&KSRTC was held today to review the aftermath of Memorandum of Demands submitted to Manager Distt& Tourist Fleet and to MD through GM Operations on various occasions. It was observed that management inspite of solving the genuine problems of the drivers; it was bent upon further pressurizing the drivers for inhumane work systems. The demands were once again discussed which include conducting of fuel survey of vehicles particularly in respect of Amarnath yatra. Arranging of atleast one room at base camp, Bhagwati Nagar for drivers who have to spend night there, implementation of enhanced trip order, cancellations of claims against drivers, time bound promotion system for drivers among the other demands In order to further strengthen the union so that demands could be pressed upon the management for conceding the some minor changes in the Organization were also made as Flowing President Mohinder Singh Saini was made Vice-Chairman and Kulbushan Singh Chib was appointed as President of Tourist Fleet. |
