| Cricketer Shubham selected for NCA Bangalore | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 21: The Opener Batsman from Jammu and Kashmir Shubham Khajuria has been selected for the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore. The star cricketer who recently had selected for North zone Team as Vice Captain to play Col. Hemu Adhikari Trophy at Mysore has been asked to report at NCA Bangalore. Shubham has been selected for Nation Cricket academy along with other 25 promising cricketers of the Country who were also part of Col Hemu Adhikari Trophy. In the academy the young cricketers would be practising under the watchful eyes of highly Profiled coaching staff. Talking to Early Times Shubham said, "Of course I am over enthusiastic over the selection for NCA Banglore, but my ultimate goal has always been to play for the senior India team. "This has come at the right time for me, he said further adding, "it is for the third time that I have been called up for NCA where Countries top cricketers get their skills honed throughout their careers. I am lucky to get such a chance and I will take maximum benefit out of it". Pertinent to mention here that Shubham Khajuria became first cricketer of Jammu and Kashmir who has been selected for NCA for the three consecutive tenures. "It was anticipated already," Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Joint secretary Surdarshan Mehta said. "He is an exceptional talent and deserves this call-up but we advice him to work hard and make the place in the final squad, he added. "I am extremely happy for him," Shubham's father Pardeep Khajuria said. "His commitment to play cricket and devotion to his goal is finally bearing fruits." a proud father said and hoped that it is certain that he (Shubham) will be selected for the final U-19 squad this time also. |
