Jammu, June 21: As part of their campaign 'Mitti Ki Sogand', Refugee Sadar Sabha paid their visit to various refugee Basties to take stock of the plight of the displaced community and warned the government against misleading the refugees for vote bank politics which will not be tolerated at any cost. The team of Refugee Sadar Sabha comprising Kewal Krishan Sharma chairman of the newly constituted Sabha and other members of Sabha visited to these localities and held series of interactive meetings with the refugees. Meanwhile a meeting of Sabha was also held today at its office Chandan Vihar, Lower Roop Nagar, Muthi Jammu in which members of the organizations and refugees from different pockets participated and discussed the future strategy of the Sabha. The members in this meeting urged Refugees families whose population is over 14 lakhs to launch massive agitation before assembly election to pressurize the government for their one time settlement package. They warned the government for misleading the refugees for vote bank politics which will not be tolerated at any cost. They also urged Members of Parliament of J&K state to raise their voice in favour of their demand of one time settlement. In the meet, BB Sharma, one of the founder members of Sabha and Retired Engineer was appointed as Chief Consultant of Sadar Sabha. Prominent among others present in the meet included Satvir Singh Ishar, Retd Engineer, Rajnish Kumar, Rajeev Sharma, Vinay Kumar and Vishal Sharma. |
