| GDC Kishtwar organises awareness rally on drug abuse & illicit trafficking | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 27: Government Degree College Kishtwar organised Rally on International Day of Drug Addiction and Illicit Human trafficking and spread the message on menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
The objective of organizing this rally was to create awareness among people in general & youth in particular about detrimental effects of drugs.
A large number of students participated in this rally. The rally was flagged off by Prof. Shakila Begum I/c Principal of the College. She considered such awareness activities by the educational institutions a significant step to check the menace of drug addiction & illicit human trafficking in the society. The rally commenced from the college campus & passed through the main market of the kishtwar, DC office & Bus Stand & culminated back at College campus. The students who marched in the rally carried play cards and banners emphasizing prohibition & harmful effects of drug addiction. They also spread message by raising slogans against drug addiction & illicit human trafficking. All the staff members of GDC Kishtwar also accompanied the students. Prior to this on 25th of June a symposium and slogan writing competition on topic "Drug Addiction & illicit Human trafficking" was organized in the college campus in which large number of students participated. |
