Rajouri, June 27 : Rajouri police in collaboration with health authorities established a drug de-addiction ward cum centre at district hospital. "The said center was inaugurated on Thursday by Mubassir Latifi, District SP in the presence of Saleem Kalik, ADC, Dr Salam Choudhry, officiating medical superintendent, KK Langer from Rotary International and many other civil dignitaries, police spokesperson said.
He said that on this occasion a symposium on 'drug abuse' was also organized in which 12 participants from different schools participated. While addressing the gathering SP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi said it is the duty of every citizen of this country to make the society free from drug menace for saving our youth.
"To solve the problems of youth a holistic approach is required and an ideal upbringing of youth is possible only when there is positive intervention by the parents, teachers, religious preachers, elders in the society and last but not the least by the Police" underlined SP Latiffi He also informed that Youth Club has already been established in DPL Rajouri to engage youth in sports & other activities so that they may not indulge in drug addiction or any other anti-social activities and do not fall prey to the machinations of anti-social elements Among others present on the occasion were Dr Rajiv Sharma, CMO, Dr AA Nabi, deputy CMO ,Dr Sulil , Dr Vijay and other doctors. |
