| 200 drivers, conductors undergo medical check-up | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, June 27: In order to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Motor Vehicle Department Reasi organized awareness cum Medical checkup camp at Mahore today. Sub Divisional Magistrate Mahore Ashwani Kumar, SDPO Mahore Shakeel, BMO Dr R P Singh, Dr Variender, Gopal Shri with large number of prominent citizens, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area besides other officers were present.
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Reasi Rajesh Gupta said that such awareness camps have been given priority in order to make drivers and conductors aware about the ill effects of drugs.
Gupta added that in this camp the drivers and conductors were checked up for sugar, blood group, blood pressure, eye sight while ECG was also conducted free of cost. Medical Check-up of over 200 drivers and conductors was conducted by the transport department on the occasion.
In his address, SDM Mahore asked the participants to have a regular medical checkup of their body and sight. He asked the drivers to refrain from driving under the influence of intoxicants for theirs and passengers safety. He also directed the drivers to adopt safe driving habits so that loss of life could be minimized in mishaps. He asked them to follow traffic rules for safety and security. |
