| Release 10% DA SKUAST TAJ to CM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 27 : Teaching Association Jammu ( TAJ) of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu in an Executive Committee Meet today at Chatha appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir Government to release 10 per cent Dearness Allowance due from January last in favour of the employees. President of the association, Dr. Vikas Sharma said that the salaried class are facing a lot of economic hardships due to price hike of all day to day needed commodities and release of due DA installment well in time is a genuine demand of the employees. He made an appeal to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that there is no reason to delay the release of 10 per cent DA in the state since the Central Government and several State Governments have already released it in favour of their employees. Dr. Sharma hoped that at this time of price hike of essential commodities, the immediate release of 10 % DA will provide some relief to the employees of all the state Universities as well as to the state government employees. The employees in the meeting demanded that the medical allowance should be increased in their favour from immediate effect taking into consideration the urgency of medical situations and its high expenses. |
