Early Times Report
Jammu, June 27: A large number of monkey-bite cases were reported from the Gandhi Nagar area, particularly in C/C pocket of the area, an indication of the failure of the authorities in checking the free run of the monkeys. The residents of Gandhi Nagar, a posh locality, are now being terrorized by the monkey menace and the USA return girl d/o Dr Jyoti Prakash is the latest victim when a monkey attacked her at her residence. Earlier, the monkey, bit the granddaughter of one Vijay Verma at her residence. "The moment she opened the door, a monkey attacked her and even chased her inside. She received serious injuries and was administered injections," said Verma.
The case of Vijay Jain was no different as a monkey pounced upon son of his domestic help here today while he was playing at their residence 27 C/C ..
