4 killed, 11 injured in Baramulla accidents

BARAMULLA, June 27: In a deadly road accident four persons died while eleven others were injured in another accident at Uri Thajal in north Kashmir's Baramulla district Friday.
According to sources from Uri that, "the accident took place on Friday evening at around 6 p.m. at Thajal 4 kilometers from Uri in Baramulla district. Deadly road accidents are common in this mountainous region often caused by overloading, bad condition of roads and reckless driving, source said.
According to the officials the ill-fated vehicle skidded off the road,while negotiating a curve and rolled down into the 150- feet deepgorge.
The accident took place at Thajal Uri "three persons were killed on spot after the accident, while as another person who was critically injured succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital," said a police official.
Four persons died and eleven others were injured in a road accident at Thajal area of Uri Tehsil of baramulla district in North Kashmir on Friday evening. Station House Officer (SHO) Uri Bashir Ahmad Dar said that a Force Trax Vehicle TATA sumo pattern bearing registration number JK05B 8962 skidded off the road and fell into a Nallah at Thajal area of Uri resulting in on spot death of 3 passengers and injuries to 11 passengers.
All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Station House Officer (SHO) confirmed the death of four person who were identified as Manzoor Ahmad Chopan S/O Abdul Aziz Chopan R/O Kanga Chathri Ramban, Imtiyaz Ahmad Kakroo S/O Abdul Majid Kakroo R/o Garkote, Mohammad Hussian Awan S/O Ghulam Hyder Awan R/O Thajal and Noor Hussian Awan S/O Lal Ud Din Awan R/O Thajal Uri.
Police officials identified injured as Mohammad Rafiq Awan S/O Saif Awan R/O Thajal, Mohammad Sharief S/O Imam Ud Din Awan R/O Thajal, Noor Awan S/O Faqir Mohammad Awan R/O Thajal, and Mohammad Iqbal Mir S/O Abdul Rashid Mir R/O Tilawari. Taj Ud Din S/O John Mohammad Khatana R/O Charunda, Mohamad Rafiq S/O Noor Hussian Awan R/O Thajal,
Mohammad Shafi S/O Noor Hussian Awan R/O Thajal, Mohammad Saghir S/O Ghulam Din Najar R/O Charunda. Zulfiqar Awan S/O Noor Hussian Awan R/O Thajal, Mohammad Hanief Masie S/O Abdul Rashid Masie R/O Charunda, Nasir Ahmad Khokhar S/O Bashir Ahmad Khokhar R/O Balkote Uri. Four are critical who were immediately shifted to Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) Soura Srinagar for further treatment S.H.O said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under F.I.R no 30/2014 under section 279, 337 and 304 (A) under Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) and started further investigations in this regard. Soon after the accident, the locals, civil administration and police launched rescue operations. The bodies were lifted and taken to nearby Hospital and sub-district hospital Baramulla. 4 persons died and eleven others injured in a road accident till the last reports came in and more details are awaited.
