JAMMU, July 4: Sailing on all round performance from Sourav, Lucky Cricket Club (LCC) today registered a fine six wickets win against Whites Cricket Club (WCC) in league round of the Chevrolet Cup Twenty20 Tournament underway at KC Public School ground, here.
Sourav, who earlier took two wickets, contributed highest 32 runs to the total thus helped the side make it an easy win.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, WCC lost all their wickets for 88 runs in 10 overs in a match reduced to 16 overs a side after the teams reported late to the organizers.
Sanjay Koul remained top scorer with 24 runs while no other batsman could touch the double figure mark. From Lucky Club, Vicky, Sourav and Monu took two wickets each.
In reply, Lucky Club chased the target of 89 runs in 10.5 overs losing four wickets. Sourav played fine innings of 32 runs while Vicky contributed 12 runs.
For his all round performance, Sourav was named man of the match. Today's league tie officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rajinder Singh as umpires while Sohail Yusuf was scorer. |
