| Tehsildar, two others in CB net for illegally diverting status of land | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: Crime Branch, Jammu has registered a case FIR No. 16/2014 u/s 420,465,120-B RPC against the then then Tehsildar Jammu Rattan Chand, now deceased, Bansi Lal S/o Tara Mani R/o Balwal, Jammu and Romesh Chander S/o Daya Ram R/o Gurha Brahmna, Jammu for hatching a criminal Conspiracy with revenue officials and diverted the status of the land illegally.
Brief facts of the case are that a written complaint duly endorsed by Learned Excise Mobile Magistrate, Jammu under 156(3) Cr.P.C was received in Crime Branch Jammu wherein the Complainant namely Badhur Singh S/o Lt. Sain Dass R/o Village Bhalwal Tehsil and Dist. Jammu alleged that he is in possession of land inherited by him and his brother from their ancestors. Right from 1947 the Girdawari was running in their names and name of their forefather and even after the applicability of Land Revenue Act 1976, the girdawari of the said land was continuously running on their names. Bansi Lal S/o Tara Mani R/o Balwal Jammu and Romesh Kumar S/o Daya Ram R/o Gurha Brahmna, Jammu after hatching a Criminal Conspiracy with revenue officials, diverted the land falling under Khasra No. 3949, 3958, 3965 and 3959 measuring 7 kanals 2 Marlas in the name of Prabhat Singh S/o Mani Ram R/o Balwal Tehsil Jammu presently Misheriwala, Jammu in the year 1972 and later on in the year 1987 the title of land was changed in their names through the medium of Sehat Indraj and mutation u/s 4 of the Agrarian Reforms Act but the fact is that the land neither remained in their possession nor under their cultivation. When Mutation u/s 4 of Land Revenue Act 1976, was attested the age of both the beneficiaries was 8 and 11 year respectively whereas under Land Revenue, Act 1976 tiller should be a major person etc. On receipt of this complaint a Preliminary Verification was initiated in Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of enquiry it was found that accused had illegally changed the status of land by hatching criminal conspiracy for ulterior motive. On this a formal case has been registered under the relevant sections of law against the above mentioned accused persons and investigation of the case is in progress. |
