| Army to organize recruitment rally at Sunjuwan | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: A Recruitment Rally would be conducted from 11 July to 20 July 2014 at Zorawar Stadium, Sunjuwan (Jammu) by the Indian Army. According to defence spokesman, the Rally is a wonderful opportunity for the youth of J&K to get selected for a glorious career in the Indian Army. The Recruitment Rally is being organized for recruitment in the post of Soldier General Duties (GD), Soldier Technical and Soldier Clerk / Soldier Store-Keeper-Technical (SKT) for the candidates of districts Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi. All candidates should reach the marshalling area before the commencement of screening. The Eligibility Conditions for the various Categories are as for Soldier (GD) Category only, the Candidates should be Born Not Before : 11 July 1993 and Born Not After : 11 January 1997 (Both Days are Inclusive) and should have Passed Minimum 10th Class with 45% marks and 33% in each subject for the districts Jammu, Samba and Kathua and 10th Class Simple Pass with 33% marks for Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi districts only. For Soldier (Clk/SKT) the Eligibility conditions are a Candidates should be Born Not Before : 11 July 1991 and Born Not After : 11 January 1997 (Both Days are Inclusive), and should have passed 10+2 in any stream Arts/Science/Commerce with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. If the candidate has English subject but no Math/Accounts/Book Keeping as subject in 12th, he should have passed 10th with minimum 40% marks in Math/Accounts/Book Keeping. If candidate has Math/Accounts/Book Keeping subject in 12th but not English, he should have passed 10th with minimum 40% in English. If a candidate is graduate (any field) with Math/Accounts/Book Keeping and English (even elective) as one of the subjects, the stipulation of scoring 40% marks in Math/English in Class XII or Class X and scoring 50% marks in aggregate in Class XII is waived off. If a candidate is graduate but not having English and Math/Accounts/Book Keeping at graduate level, he should have scored minimum 40% marks in English and Math/Accounts/Book Keeping at least once in Class XII or Class X. 20% Bonus marks, on the marks scored in the written test will be awarded to candidates who are in possession of valid certificate in Computers (Basic Computer Course), obtained from DOEACC 'A' Level. |
