Kishtwar, July 4: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammed Javed Khan today convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for annual Machail Yatra. According to press release, the meeting was attended by all concerned District Officers and representatives of Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha Kishtwar. In the meeting, the members of the Sanstha apprised the DC that the Yatra would start from August 1, 2014 and on the same day langers for devotees would also start functioning at various places up to holy shrine. They informed that the Chhari Mubarak would reach Kishtwar on August 18 and on the next it would proceed towards Gulabgarh Padder. On August 20th, the Chhari, enroute to holy shrine of Maa Chandi would stay at Massu, on August 21 at Chishoti and on 22nd of August it will reach at Machail. Deputy Commissioner directed the respective departments to ensure fool proof security besides the availability of drinking water, Electricity, helogen lights, firewood, Electric Generator, medical facilities, ambulance, ration supply, fire extinguishers, temporary toilet facilities and sufficient number of vehicles for the devotees. GREF authorities were asked to immediately repair the road upto Gulbgarh. Similarly Executive Engineer R&B was directed to repair the bridle path and short bridges from Gulabgarh to Machhail Shrine. |
