Rs 3600 imposed on defaulters at Doda

DODA, July 4: To ensure the proper supply of essential commodities and for providing safe and congenial/hygienic food including vegetables, fruits, chicken, Mutton etc. to the public particularly in the month of holy Ramzan, a surprise market checking was today conducted in the market of the Doda town.
A committee headed by Tehsildar Doda, Tanveer Ahmed Tanveer comprising officers and officials of Revenue Department, CA& PD, Municipality, Horticulture, Planning and Marketing, Legal Metrology, Food Safety, Police and Others was constituted on the directions of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Mubarak Singh. A fine of Rs. 3600/= has been imposed upon the defaulters during the inspection.
The public of the town has lauded the efforts of district administration & has requested for regular market checking round the year and the Tehsildar Doda has ensured the public that district administration will take all necessary steps to prevent any black Marketing, hoarding and supply of substandard commodities to the people of the area.
