Jammu, July 4 : On the momentous occasion of its establishment, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Kalakote, under Uniform Force started 'Eco-Friendly Drive' by carrying out plantation of saplings of Anaar, Kinu, Nimbu, Mausambi and trees thriving in this region. The plantation drive is a small step towards the restoration of green cover which is on the decline due to deforestation and other construction activities.
Children, youth, elders and civil administration, as per the release also contributed in the plantation. The Battalion will continue the tree plantation drive and more saplings of fruits and flowering plants will be planted in the future. |
