| ARTO Kishtwar holds meet with transporters | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, July 4: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammed Javed Khan, a meeting of all Transporters of District Kishtwar was held today under the chairmanship of Assistant Regional Transport Officer Kishtwar Azhar Amin Zargar.
The meeting was attended by Azad Hussain Motor Vehicle Inspector ARTO Office Kishtwar, Ghulam Mustafa in charge JKSRTC Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Representative Rafi Tour and Travel Kishtwar, Manzoor Ahmed Representative Asraria Tour and Travel Kishtwar, Zahid Hussain Representative Kishtwar Tour and Travel Kishtwar, Mohammad Qasim Representative Banihal Group Kishtwar.
The main point of discussion was regarding charging of fare by commercial vehicles from the passengers. Fares of different routes charged by them were scrutinized.
The transporters were made aware of the latest fares as approved by Government. They were directed to ensure that no one charges beyond the approved rates. Copies of new fare list were also distributed amongst the transporters so as to affix them in vehicles and at their respective counters for wide publicity amongst the public. They were also directed to ensure good treatment to passengers by the drivers.
The transporters raised the issue of dilapidated road conditions because of which the vehicles get badly damaged. They also raised issue of not getting the payments for the vehicles they had provided during the recently held parliamentary elections.
ARTO Kishtwar assured them that he will take up the issues with the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar. |
