Locals call on DC Kishtwar against encroachments along link roads

Kishtwar, July 4: Residents from Malipath Kishtwar and its adjoining areas today called on Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar to apprise him about illegal encroachments along link roads including 'stretch from House of Lakhmi Chand to Upper Malipath' and sought action against the land grabbers. Led by Ghulam Haider Sheikh a delegation of locals apprised DC Kishtwar that despite release of compensation to some locals after land acquisition structure still are there resulting road is standstill even after more than 10 years.
Deputationist alleged some influential have encroached the land and are adamant not leave the locality. They urged upon the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to take stern action against the people creating hurdle in construction of the road.
