POJK Refugee Front to organize Sangarsh Rally

Jammu, July 4: The Executive Committee of the Front led by Rachhpal Singh Chib has resolved to organise a Protest Rally against Jammu and Kashmir State Government for its denial of 67 years long pending case of Refugees final Settlement, uprooted due to Pak aggression of 1947 and Chhamb Refugees of 1965 and 1971 Indo Pak Wars.
According to press release, the POJK Refugee Front has urged the State and Union Govt, to provide Final Settlement Comprehensive Package to all categories of Refugees for their uplifement. But the State Government has been using barbaric force against them to dispel the agitation.
"The Police Force was ordered to put down the protest with heavy hands. Their agitation was teargased, lathicharged and fired. They were detained in the police lock ups. Their leaders were jailed for no fault of theirs", said Rachhpal Singh, president of the front. He said that however, the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs of India invited the President of the Front Rachhpal Singh to deliberate (give oral Evidence) on implementation of the recommendations contained in 137th Report of the DRSC on Home Affairs on Rehabilitation of J&K Migrants (All the Displaced Persons) on 30th July 2013. Singh said that in the past also the State Government played foul in implementing the Cabinet Order 578C of 1954, Financial Relief Package of August 2000 and land allotment packages for POJK Refugees. He appealed all the Refugees to vote against the National Conference and Congress Candidates in the State Assembly Election October - November 2014 for their anti Refugee Policies, intensions and actions.
