Shopian Municipality turns hub of illegal recruitments | | | Javaid Naikoo
Srinagar, July 9: Municipal Committee Shopian has turned a hub of illegal recruitments and undue promotions. Reports said people are recruited, transferred and then promoted. The document details in possession of early times reveal that since 2004 to 2012 more than 37 people from District Anantnag, Pulwama, Budgam, Ganderbal, Shopian and Srinagar have been appointed illegally by the executive officers of all these places and then transferred to Municipal committee Shopain where timely placed executive according to sources regularized and promoted them in lieu of handsome considerations. The details reveal that People from other districts of Kashmir recruited in Muncipal Shopian include Muzafar Ahmad Parray son of Abdul Gani of Kamad Anantnag, Shabir Ahmad Ganaie son of Ali Mohd of Prichoo Pulwama ,Imran Nabi wani son of Ghulam Nabi of Pulwama,Sajad Hussain Bhat son of Mohd Yousuf of Khanpora Budgam, Amina Akhter daughter of Ghulam Mohd Mir of Srinagar and Nisar Ahmad war son of Ghulam Rasool war of Babampora Ganderbal. According to the document in the year 2012, 13 blue eyed people of District Shopian including some under aged were also recruited by the concerned executive officer without any advertisement who are presently working in the department and everything according to sources is happening in the knowledge of officials placed in the department. The details received in this regard reveal that most of these people were promoted from the grades of casual labours to supervisors, khilaf-warzi assistants,computer assiastants, junior assistants, sanitary inspectors, sanitary supervisors,tax collectors and demolishing guards thrice in these years. It does not stop here according to sources people from other Districts of Kashmir appointed illegally since March 2009 to January 2012 are paid on transfer orders as all these people pay a due share of money to the officials placed in the department. Credible sources revealed to Early Times that all these people are sons and daughters of employees who have worked and are working in Muncipal committee Shopian and various municipal committees of Kashmir. Sources said that in this ongoing illegal recruitment process posts are created by the executive officers placed in municipal committee Shopian and many people are first appointed as casual labourers in other municipal committees of Kashmir are transferred to municipal committee Shopian where they are regularized within days and also posted on high grades after paying a fixed amount of bribe meant for such postings pay a due share of money to the officials placed in the department and by doing so nobody makes them accountable for what they do and how they do. Credible sources revealed to Early Times that all these people are sons and daughters of employees who have worked and are working in Muncipal committee Shopian and various municipal committees of Kashmir who with the help of a chain of corrupt executive officers placed in the department after paying a fair amount of money to them as bribe manage to illegally appoint their kiths and kin. Sources said that in this ongoing illegal recruitment process posts are created by the executive officers placed in municipal committee Shopian and many people are firstly appointed as casual labours in other Municipal Committees of Kashmir are transferred to Municipal Committee Shopian where they are not regularized within days but were also posted on high grades after paying a fixed amount of bribe meant for such postings. The executive officer Municipal committee Shopian, G.M Lone admitted that 'illegal recruitments have been made in the department over the years like in many other Municipal committees of Kashmir' and added that "I am here from last few months, besides previous illegal recruitments since 2010 and 2011 illegal recruitments have also been made here, report has been already submitted to higher ups for inquiry, it is up to. |
