| 2 succumbs, 2 others battling for life | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 9: Two persons committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance while two others are battling for life in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). meatime the concerned police stations have registered cases in this regard under appropriate sections.
Police sources said that a 40 year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Vijaypur.
The deceased has been identified as Asha Devi (40) wife of Vijay Kumar of Vijaypur. She was being hospitalized at GMC&H Jammu where she succumbed during treatment today.
Meanwhile, a 42 year-old man identified as Rajkumar son of Rampal of Trikuta Nagar committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance mysteriously at his residence. His family members shifted to GMC&H Jammu where he succumbed to fatality of the poison he had consumed. After legal formalities, both the bodies were handed over to family members for last rites. Meanwhile, a girl tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous stuff at her place in Domana area. Identity of the girl has been established as Pooja Devi (21) daughter of Mohan Lal.
Yet in another similar incident, a youth identified as Vinod Singh son of Ronak Singh of Village Dhanu Akhnoor tried to end his life. Both of them were shifted to GMCH by their family members and condition of both was stated to be critical.
Cases in this all the incidents have been registered at concerned police stations and further investigation is on. |
