| Cache of arms, ammunition recovered in Ramban | | | Jammu, July 9: In a major breakthrough, security forces during a joint search operation in general forest area of Balla in Ramban District busted a terrorists hideout and recovered haul of arms and ammunition including IED circuit and AK 56 ammunition.
"On a tip off, Police alongwith troops of Army launched a joint search operation in Balla forests, official spokesperson said adding, "during search operation, troops of 12 RR and troops busted a militant's hideout in Gadi area."
The recovery included 01 AK 47 rifle, one. 303 rifle alongwith one magazine, 57 SLR rounds, one Motorola Set, 2 Detonators and 01 Solar Plate magazine were seized from Bhala Forest area approximately two kilometres from Gadi village in the jurisdiction of Police Post Rajgarh.
Spokesperson said that a FIR under the relevant section of RPC has been registered in P/S Ramban and further investigation is on. |
