| USTA seeks fulfillment of their demands, calls on Div Com | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 9 : A deputation of J&K United School Teacher Association (JKUSTA) called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu and put forth their demands. According to press release, the delegation was led by president Hari Singh and sought the intervention of Div Com for their early redressal. The demands include immediate release of salaries of school teachers working under centrally sponsored schemes viz-a-viz Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), immediate release of selection grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers, remove pay anomalies in pay scale of under graduate teacher and masters, adopt transparent transfer policy and transfer masters, lecturers and principals who have completed their tenure in far off places including Ladhakh, regularization of lecturers, headmasters and principals on bi-annual basis, holding of DPC of all cadres in education department on bi-annual basis, immediate filing up of all vacant posts of teachers in schools, leave encashment benefit at retirement in favourof school teachers by protecting unavailed half pay leave, enhance salaries of Rehbar-E-Taleem teachers from Rs 3000 to Rs 10,000 per month, grant muffasil allowance to teachers, provision of infrastructure in newly opened primary schools and enact right to education bill in J&K. The deputation also projected demands for release of 10% DA and enhancement in medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, and spending of 6% of GDP in education sector and adopt common school system. Giving patient hearing to the deputation Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shant Manu assured to concede the demands. Other who were present in the deputation includes Rajiv Kumar, Chemail Singh, DrShashi pal Singh, Darshan Lal,Julfkar Ali Malik,Pardeep Singh, Raj Kumar, Kishori Lal, Sukhdev Singh, Ganesh Dutt, Roop Lal, Thoru Ram, Rattan Singh, Madan Singh and Surinder Singh. |
