Srinagar, July 9: Senior Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Former Minister and Member AICC, Abdul Gani Vakil today condemned the use of force on innocent candidates who had assembled for appearing in a written test at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar for the post of fireman and protested against postponing of written test for the same Vakil in his statement issued today afternoon said that the treatment meted out to these youth was unwarranted and unjustified because they were officially called to appear in an examination and were not part of any unlawful assembly.
Vakil said that conducting examination at provincial level, that too at a single Centre is itself an unjustified and unwise decision and concerned officials must be taken to task. He urged the Government to review the recruitment policy in respect of Fire and Emergency Services and devise the mechanism to make recruitment in the Department at District Level hence forth. |
