Kathua, July 9 : Terming the Railway budget as castle in the air and disappointing for Jammu and Kashmir, founder of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Party, Babu Singh has said that it was designed to appease the corporate houses of the country as well as world. "From any angle, it is not for common man and it is deliberately designed to make a grip of big corporators over the railway's wealth", he said. He said that the budget offered nothing new to the state where over one crore pilgrims were visiting annually apart from the normal passengers. Singh said that new government has already announced unprecedented hike in railway fare and freight rates before the budget, so it is wrong to suggest that this budget is without any hike in fare and freight. Singh said this budget is disappointing for the country especially for the JK state including Rajouri, Poonch and Kathua's pending project for construction of an alternate railway station in the heart of the town which needed much priority. Singh said, Global party has desired expansion of railway line across the District Kathua like other parts of the state as well as the need for construction of an alternate railway station behind the Ramleela ground near boliyan on priority. Singh urged the Railway Ministry with zeal to upgrade the transportation in the state which is faced with many hurdles as could be removed through railways. |
