Jammu, July 9 : A delegation of Raghunath pura residents called on Inspector General of Police Jammu and appealed him to open the rear gate of Raghunath temple. According to press release, the deputation led by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Jammu east constituency, Bharat Choudhary, Vikram singh, Ashok jogi, Girish Sharma, Ram Saroop, Chaman Angral, Amit Gupta, Pandit Brij Sharma called on IGP and put forth their demand. The PDP leader informed the IGP that rear gate of Raghu Nath Ji temple was closed by the security agencies from past 14 years, due to some security reasons but now it should be reopened. He said on hand government is removing bunkers form populated areas in Kashmir while on other side imposed unwanted restriction in peaceful Jammu. Bharat Chowdhary appealed the IGP to listen public grievance and immediately pass directions to reopen the gate as soon as possible and give relief to the local residents of Ragunath pura. The IGP gave patient hearing and assured PDP Leaders for earlier redressal. |
