JAMMU, Aug 7: Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) today staged protest demonstration over alleged backdoor appointments of thousands of casual laborers and daily wagers in various departments.
Hundreds of PDP activists led by Vikram Singh, Pankaj Gupta, Girish Sharma, Sachin Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Parveen Gupta, Gourav Sharma, Vinod, Luv Sharma, Chaman Angral, Pawan, Vinod and Ajay assembled at Purani Mandi chowk and raised slogans against coalition government for appointing thousands of youth through the routes of backdoor, ignoring government norms.
Vice President PDP District Jammu, Vikram Singh Jammu along with other leaders tried to burn the effigy of state government but heavy deployment of police not allowed them to do so. |
