| Minor kidnapped, one held | | | Udhampur, Aug 7: Police detained a youth (friend of abductor) allegedly for his involvement in abduction of a minor girl studying in class 9thfrom village Dubi Gali Pancheri. Police have registered a case and have started investigation in this regard. "Identified namely as Avtar Singh of Basnot who is friend of alleged abductor Rubal Singh for the questioning,' police sources said.
According to sources, family member lodged complaint with Police Station Panchari therein alleging that one Rubal Singh of Basnot Pancheri in District Udhampur has a abducted the minor when she had gone to local Ration Depot to fetch ration.""As the girl didn't turn home till late evening, the family members and parents started searching for the missing girl and later they registered a formal complaint with local police on Wednesday, they added.SHO Pancheri Harminder Singh said that a case u/s 363 and 109.stands registered at Police Station Pancheri and investigations are on.
He said that one Avtar Singh of Basnot has been taken under police custody for the questioning to get a lead in the case. Meantime Police teams have been rushed to possible hideouts of the main accused to rescue the girl from the clutches of her abductor.SSP Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary is personally supervising the whole search cum rescue operation. |
