Beneficiary among three booked in 'forged documents' case

Jammu, Aug 7: Crime Branch wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police today booked three persons including a beneficiary for allegedly for getting job in the government department on forged documents wherein a case against FIR 18/2014 at P/S Crime Branch Jammu stands registered. "Following a complaint the probe found the omissions and commissions on the part of Shakeel Ahmed s/o Mohammad Yaqoob of Langer, Jammu, Khurshid Ahmed No. ARP-013084 & N H Malik Secretary, State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) prima facie, constitute offences punishable u/s 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 RPC r/w Sec 5(2) of P C Act and accordingly a case stands registered with Crime Branch, Jammu," official spokesperson said. According to official spokesperson, following a written complaint lodged by the CO SDRF-2nd Bn, J&K, Jammu with Crime Branch, Jammu wherein it was alleged that one Shakeel s/o Mohammad Yaqoob of Langer, Jammu was selected as Constable in J&K Auxiliary Police (SDRF) and subsequently adjusted in SDRF 2nd Bn. for issuance of formal appointment order which was subject to verification/authentication of his original testimonials/certificates including CID verification, however during the course of verification of the ITI/NCC certificates produced by the said Shakeel Ahmed at the time of his selection and on the basis of which he was awarded additional marks and selected, it was found that the certificates produced by him were fake and fabricated etc.
Crime Branch, Jammu during the course of investigation further found the accused Shakeel Ahmed prior to his selection as Constable in SDRF was working as Constable in CISF, when his cousin met with one Khurshid Ahmed No. ARP-013084, who was then posted with DIG IR, Kashmir, who demanded an amount of Rs 1.50 lakh for facilitating the selection of Shakeel Ahmed as Constable in SDRF. The duo struck a deal and an amount of RS 45,000/- & Rs20,000/- was transferred in the Bank A/c of Khurshid Ahmed by beneficiary besides paying him some amount in cash, case said. It was further revealed that the ITI certificate annexed by Shakeel Ahmed was stated to be genuine by then Secretary State Board of Technical Education N.H Malik, however, there was no corresponding record available in respect of the said ITI certificate clearly suggesting that the said certificate was prepared/procured illegally by active connivance of Khurshid Ahmed and then Secretary, State Board of Technical Education NH Malik with malafide intentions in order to cheat the Police Department and secure his selection as constable in the J&K Auxiliary Police (SDRF).
