New Delhi, Aug 7: BJP spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir Dr Jitendra Singh called the incident of a BSF jawan, who was swept away into Pakistan "an unfortunate accident". When asked about the incident, Dr Singh, while speaking to media persons said, "I hope Pakistan will respond like any good neighbouring country should respond: in a humane manner, while taking a sympathetic view of the entire episode." The jawan in question was captured by Pakistani authorities after the boat he was travelling in developed a snag and due to the strong current of the River Chenab, flowed into Pakistan. Pakistani authorities have assured the BSF that the jawan will be handed back on Friday. |
