KATRA, Oct 6 : A team of officers conducted surprise checking of market in Katra and inspected the hygienic conditions, charging of rates and other set norms.
The team imposed Rs 25500 fine on various establishments, which were found violating certain market regulation laws. The team comprised of Ram Lal Tehsildar Katra, AD CAPD Reasi, SHO Katra and TSO Katra. Checking was carried under supervision of SDM Katra Anil Chandel.
The officials also seized polythene and warned the shopkeepers against the use of polythene.
The shopkeepers and traders were asked to display the rate list prominently at their establishments and maintain cleanliness. Teams for Reasi, Katra, Arnas and Mahone have been constituted by Deputy Commissioner Reasi to carry out frequent inspections and checking of market so as to curb overcharging, black marketing, use of polythene and sale of substandard food items. |
