2 held, 18 booked for alleged 'anti India, Pro Taliban' sloganeering

Kishtwar, Oct 6: Atleast 20 persons were booked for allegedly raising anti Indian slogans in Kishtwar here today during Eid procession and police acting swiftly have arrested two accused in this connection while the manhunt is on to nab rest of absconding accused.
"The arrested have been identified as Saqib Shah of Puhie and Muddasir Baghwan of Baghwan Mohallah Kishtwar, police sources said.
Sources said that acting on the bases of complaint lodged by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammed Javed Khan, Kishtwar police today lodged FIR No. 218/2014 u/s 153 B,120B,153 A RPC at Police Station Kishtwar against 20 person who were allegedly involved in raising anti national slogans during Eid procession and arrested two persons.
"Meanwhile a massive manhunt has been launched to arrest the other accused involved in anti India rant and raising Pro slogans of banned outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria commonly known as 'ISIS' and pro Taliban, they added.
While talking to "Early Times" a senior police official preferring anonymity told that a group of 400 to 500 youths after offering Eid prayers left the Eidgah venue in the shape of procession towards the revered shrine of Sufi Saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA).
Police said that enroute to the shrine of Suft saint, some of miscreants started raising anti India slogans, Pro freedom slogans, Pro Taliban slogans, Pro ISIS slogans and which created panic in the Kishtwar town which is still reconciling from the last communal flare witnessed of Eid last year.
It is pertinent to mention that over 50 people were booked in similar case during last Eid-ul-Fitar on 30th July this year.
"On the bases of various circumstantial evidences including videography of the procession and the report submitted by the duty magistrate through Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Kishtwar Police registered an FIR against the culprits and have arrested two persons, the police official added.
Sharing details he said that after scrutinizing the videos and other evidence, 20 persons were identified so far, added that identification of other culprits involved this episode is on. He added that after due identification of other accused their names too shall be included in the FIR.
Here it needs to mention that Immam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Molana Farooq Ahmed Kichloo led the procession after the Eid prayers.
Earlier a large number of people arrived form different parts of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas offered Eid-ul-Azha Nimaz at historic Chowghan Ground of Kishtwar. During the occasion special prayers were offered for the people killed in flood havoc in the state. Meanwhile District administration has made elaborate security arrangements in and around Eidgah Kishtwar. Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori were among the prominent who offered Eid nimaz at Kishtwar. Earlier a separate Eid nimaz was offered at Jamia Masjid Kishtwar for security personal and officials on special duty.
