| Adv Bhardwaj visits Pak firing affected Arnia sector, demands early relief | | | | Arnia (Bishnah), Oct 6: Expressing his serious concerns over the recent border firing in which five perons were killed and atleast 26 persons were injured, Senior Advocate and prominent citizen of Jammu Mohinder Bhardwaj today visited Arnia and demanded immediate steps to provide relief to the people of the border areas in Bishnah which have been facing the onslaught of unprovoked firing from Pakistan.In a statement issued here on Monday after touring the affected areas and meeting affected families, Bhardwaj expressed concern at the slow paced efforts of the administration to provide succor to the victims. During his visit Bhardwaj visited Arnia town and Mashe De Kothe hamlet and also participated in funeral of the five deceased that included four members of a single family.He demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh to each family of the deceased and adequate financial aid to those injured and for property damaged in Pak shelling and asked the administration to make immediate arrangements for shifting the people living on the border to safer places. Later Bhardwaj also visited the injured being hospitalized at Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. He also asked the centre and the state governments to initiate a coordinated effort to provide relief to the people who have faced onslaught of Pak firing on the border.
