Sobka villagers appeal CE to concede their demand | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 9: Residents of village Sobka (Gharota) tehsil Jammu have appealed Chief Engineer Public Health Engineering Department to take action against the people, who have taken water connection from main supply line. According to letter send to Chief Engineer PHE Jammu, the villagers said that the water was supplied from the tube well which was 2 kms from the main village Sobka (Gharota). "The people residing on both sides of the main water pipe have taken number of connections. Therefore, the water supply is badly effected and we the people are suffering badly', they said. They further said, "Whenever we approach to XEN Akhnoor, he never bothers to direct AEE but he insists on Public to meet AEE concerned who further directs the people to meet JE but nothing practically is done for the convince of the people. A valve on the line has been broken for the last one month and nobody takes any care for its repair which does not cost more than Rs. 500/- expenditure", they said. They appealed Chief Engineer to direct the concerned executive Engineer Akhnoor to take immediate action for earliest relief to the public of the above said village. |
