JSM condemns Pak for cease fire violation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 9: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) today criticized Pakistan for cease fire violation, due to which number of residents of border areas have lost their lives.According to press release, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of its president, Prof. Virender Gupta. Speaking on the occasion Prof Gupta condemned Pakistan for continuous ceasefire violations, unprovoked heavy shelling on the LOC and International border. "It is causing loss of lives and fatal injuries to the innocent civilians, damaging their shelters and property and forcing a large population residing in the vicinity of the border to vacate their houses and take shelters in the camps", he said, adding that though the Indian forces including BSF and the army was retailing with full force to the Pak misadventure. He further said, "There is need to take the appropriate steps to silence the guns from Pakistan side and restore peace on the borders forever. There is also an immediate need that the effected people are properly cared both at the state government level and the government at the centre." They should be provided comfortable refuge, food and other essential amenities and should be adequately compensated to restart their lives after the peace is restored. |
