| Commerce college organizes three day mela | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 9: NSS unit of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu organised three days Khadi Gram Udyog Mela in continuation of Gandhi Jayanti Celebration.
According to press release, Dr. Vaid Ghai was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Principal Dr. Satinder Singh in his Presidential address appealed to the students and the staff to promote the message to purchase at least one Khadi and handicraft product. The proceeding of the inaugural function was conducted by NSS Volunteer Jagmeet Kour and Pargat Singh. The programme was organised under the supervision of programme officer Prof. Pawan Gupta and Prof. Mamta Gupta. There after the "Khadi Mela" was thrown open for students and staff. Earlier in the day a guest lecture by Dr. Aruna Verma Associate Prof. PSM Govt. Medical College, Jammu was organised by the college for the students and staff in which the resource person spoke about the common problems faced by the students in general and girls in particular. |
