Christmas celebrated with zeal across Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: Christmas was celebrated with zeal and religious fervour across Jammu province. Sanatan Dharam Kanya Vidyalaya (SDKV) Jullaka Mohalla Jammu celebrated Christmas in the school premises with religious fervour and gaiety, here today. Secretary, Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Bal Krishan Arora was the chief guest on the occasion. The students presented a colourful cultural programme under the supervision of staff members which enthralled the audience. Wishing happy Christmas and New Year, Bal Krishan Arora extended his blessings to the students and also distributed tricycles among them. He asked the students to spread message of love, kindness and brotherhood everywhere. May Fair Higher Secondary School, Chand Nagar & May Fair School , Janipur celebrated Christmas with great Zeal & Enthusiasm. Students from Pre -Primary & Primary wing of both branches took part in the Christmas celebrations , they were dressed as Santa Clause, Fairies & they sang beautiful Christmas Songs. Vijay Basur , Chairman of the school appreciated efforts of the students. Abhey Basur - Director of the school threw light on the life of Jesus Christ. The students of Primary section of Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Udheywala Jammu celebrated Christmas festival with a lot of zest and enthusiasm today. Students of Primary enacted a play and a New Year song. Besides songs dances to the tune of some songs and speeches marked the occasion. Students of Primary Unit came dressed as Santa Clause and Angels. The children also put up a fun filling show and sang Christmas carols performed dances, thus enthralling the audience. Principal of the school Annapurna Kaul terming it as the festival of joy and good-will. She also congratulated every one present on the occasion. She also wished everybody a happy and prosperous New Year (2015). Principal of the school and in-charge primary wing Sharika Kakroo joined in all the kids stepped on the dance floor frivolously when Santa came dancing along to the tune of "jingle bells". The celebrations were so captivating that it will leave an indelible impression on the minds of tiny tots. JK Public School, Kunjwani celebrated the Christmas as a happy time for our children. Our little children of the Toddlers' World presented the 'Nativity' scene with painted clay images of baby Jesus, followed by the junior choir singing Christmas carols. Santa too made a grand entry singing and dancing to the tunes of "Jingle Bells" The children were in their best attire. Music and song filled the air. The day ended with a smile on everyone's face. It was a full on week Xmas Cheers at Mother's Pride & Joy Pre-school. The weeklong celebration began with the Field trip, with the children visiting the Church and sang Christmas carols had a fabulous time. The children got to know about Jesus Christ and why we celebrate the festival. Kids were also shown things related to the day like - Christmas tree, Santa Claus, Joystick Reindeer, Stocking, Snow Man etc. The children made beautiful crafts and decorated the Xmas tree. A special assembly was conducted today in MHAC School, NAGBANI to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. A Christmas tree was put up in the school, decorated with small ornaments, stars and gifts. Christmas carols were sung by the school choir. Some of the students elaborated upon the teachings of Jesus and the importance of Christmas. Children dressed as Santa Claus distributed sweets among the students. Some students were dressed up as fairies and angels. The school Principal Alok Betab wished the students Merry Christmas and told them that Christmas is a celebration of love, universal brotherhood and a festival of sharing one's possessions with others. Students and staff members of Happy Hours School, Rehari Colony celebrated Christmas and New Year in a colourful and impressive way. The students presented Christmas Carole and depicted message of Lord Jesus. Clad in colourful and specially designed Christmas dresses, the young students danced on the tunes of popular songs. The school was decorated with buntings and stars thus giving it a festive appearance. Students sung Christmas carols and gave an eye-catching performance while dancing on the tunes of "Jingle Bells". Principal of the School, Poonam Gupta blessed everyone on the beautiful occasion. She educated the students on the teachings of Jesus Christ in the practical life. KPS Barnoti celebrated Christmas and New Year today in the premises of school. According to press release, Engineer Nirmaljit Singh was the Chief Guest While Secretary, Harpreet Kour, Principal Manjula Dogra were also present on the occasion. Er. Nirmaljit Singh while speaking on the occasion complimented the performances for the students to participated in today's performance. He said that the little kids have presented their items with full zeal and zest and very successfully entertained the audience. Meanwhile, Madhuvan Kids Playway Shastri Nagar also celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm in the School Premises. Students were dressed as Santa Claus and Fairies. The Programme began with Christmas Carols. The Staff and the students participated in the function very actively. Similarly, Special Children of Asha School celebrated Christmas festival today at Asha School and Tiger Army Pre-Primary School, Jammu Cantonment. Usha Singh, Chairperson, Family Welfare Organisation, Tiger Division was the Chief Guest. A cultural programme of Christmas dance and songs was presented by special children who were appreciated by the eminent guests and parents. Singh presented the 'Certificate of Excellence' to those meritorious students who were recently honoured by the J&K Govt on the recently conducted 'World Disability Day Celebration' at Jammu. Another function to celebrate Christmas held at RM Public School, the school was decorated with beautiful red and white buntings, balloons, stars and crystal balls. On the occasion chief guest Chairman of RM Public School Rameshwar Mengi and Trustee of RM Public School Reeta Mengi congratulated all the children and staff members. Special guest Principal of RM College PK Dhar also wished Merry Christmas to the students. Principal of RM Public School Ravinder Kour also congratulated the guests. Christmas Day was organised by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Higher Secondary School at Kunjwani for the students of nursery to 12th class. All the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students recited poems and deliver lecture on Christmas day and santa clause role was played by the students of 12th class which add new zeal to the programme . Chairman of the school Prof. Harbans Singh said about the life of Jesus Christ and greeted Happy Christmas to the students . SOS Hermann Gmeiner School celebrated Christmas today in the school premises with solemity and gaiety. The X-mas tree was decorated with buntings, laces and sympolice stars. A colourful programme was presented by the students. The displayed items were songs, dances and speeches on christmas. Childrens were disguised in the dress of Santa clause and fairies. Santa Clause distributed toffees to the children.Ashok Raina the house master of Tawi House gave a message of love and peace on behalf of Principal and Staff. Geeta Bhan (PGT) Maths wished the children happy and blessful Christmas. DRS Kids International School Vijaypur celebrated Christmas function organized at school premises, students danced on the tunes of popular songs and cut the cake, sharing sweets among themselves thus making it is a festival of friendship and joy. The school was decorated with cotton, buntings and stars students sung Christmas carols and making the celebration memorable. Later, principal of the school, Rajni Choudhary educated the students on the teachings of jesus Christ in practical life. G L S Public School Amar Colony, Gole Gujral Road, Jammu celebrated Christmas and children came in colourful dresses and were briefed about Christmas and Jesus Christ and his teachings. On this occasion, cakes were cut and collective birthdays of children of kindergarten classes were celebrated. The students were also given refreshment, they sang songs and danced to celebrate the day. Later, the teachers gave New year greeting cards to all students with wishes for them and their family members as the school was closed for the winter break. Mother's Pride and Joy Pre-School celebrated Christmas with the field trip, with the children visiting the Church and sang Christmas carols had a fabulous time. We wish everybody Merry Xmas and a happy New Year. Heaven Angels Play way School and Heaven Kingdom High School Janki Vihar Janipur celebrated Christmas with religous gaiety. The students were dressed in fair and Christmas Day was organised by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Hr. Sec. School for the students of Nursery to 12th class. Christmas Eve was celebrated with great fervour and zeal here at 166 Military Hospital, Satwari, today. Zonal Vice President AWWA White Knight Corps Rita Guha visited at hospital and celebrated Christmas with children, patients, attendants and staff. According to press release, she was flanked by Sushma Harjai, Convener Family Welfare Centre of 166 Military Hospital and Brig Man Mohan Harjai, Commandant, 166 MH. Christmas Day Celebration was held at Flower Kids Nursery School at LaneNo-9 Talab Tillo. Childrens celebrated Christmas Day with Joy and Happiness and Prayed for Peace and Prosperity in whole world. DRS Kids New Plot a unit of International School celebrated christmas day in their school premises in which director Roopam Kaur Soni Cutted Cake with their staff member. All the students particiapted in the Fancy-Dress Competition most of the students dressed up as Santa, Fairies, Mother Mary and so on. Students enjoyed dance as well as smacks also. |
