Disgruntled NC MLAs likely to join PDP
12/24/2014 11:45:33 PM

Early Times Report
jammu, Dec 24: A section of National Conference MLAs are likely to desert the party and could join the PDP. According to party sources, the MLAs are not happy with the way the party has been conducted and don't see a secure future under Omar Abdullah.
"We have won on our work and not because of Omar Abdullah. Had we contested elections just as NC candidate then the defeat was sure for us. Omar had left no scope for us and we are holding deliberations of either sticking to the party or leaving it," said a senior NC leader, wishing not to be named.
The sense and feeling among the NC MLAs desirous of leaving the party is corroborated by the fact that Omar is now leaving for UK to be with his parents.
"It's fact that his father is ailing and he has not seen him. We respect his feelings but he has much more responsibility to his party now, when it is in crisis. His London visit could wait. It shows how much serious is he is toward the party . He was expected to lead us from the front but he is infact leaving us," said the NC leader.
Sources said and there are speculations rife that these leaders are in touch with the PDP. They have been holding secret talks and there is strong possibility that the announcement could be made any time.
"Omar has enough other things than just politics. He was para shooter candidate and would again come back when things are right for him. I don't believe that he will sit in the Assembly and lead from the front like Mehbooba Mufti did. So what does it leave us? There is no other option," said the leader.
The PDP is most likely to form the government with the BJP. The secret talks are already under going and the announcement could be made any time.
"PDP is going to form the government and then it could further strengthen itself and is now the political future of the Kashmir. Then who will stay with the sinking ship whose captain has already left," said the leader.
