JAMMU, Dec 24: Naresh Kumar of J&K Police bagged first place in 5000 meters long distance race in the ongoing State Athletic Championship, organised by J&K Athletics Association, at BSF Stadium, here today.
Second place went to Riyaz Ahmed, again of J&K Police, while Lal Singh (JKP) remained third. In another track event of 400 meters, Danish Yousuf, Parveen Singh and Zubair Ahmed (all from JKP) secured first, second and third position respectively.

MEN: 5000 mts: Naresh Kumar, Ist; Riyaz Ahmed, 2nd and Lal Singh, 3rd. 400 mts: Danish Yousuf, Ist; Parveen Singh, 2nd and Zubair Ahmed, 3rd. U-18: Long Jump: Deepak Yadav, Ist; Vishal Singh, 2nd and Inpreet Singh, 3rd.
WOMEN: Discuss Throw: Jaswinder Kour, Ist; Gulshan, 2nd and Tajinder Kour, 3rd. U-16: 400 mts: Jaspreet Kour, Ist; Sakshi Chauhan, 2nd and Monika Bisht, 3rd. |
