Kishtwar, Dec 24: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) today held meeting under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari, in which they demanded district administration dumping of essential commodities for Kishtwar. According to press release, they urge Deputy Commissioner to ensure dumping of essential commodities including food grains, LPG, Kerosene oil in view of the winter season. They further demanded availability of fire wood on the sale depots so that the people of the area may not suffer any more and also demanded immediate release of payment of compensation in favour of the recent flash flood victims of Dool, Nagsani, Paddar, Dachhan, Marwah, War wan, Chatroo, Drabshalla and Bunjwah so that they may be able to repair the damaged houses well on time. He also urged to ensure proper supply of power and reduction in huge curtailment and unscheduled power cuts in the area and asked to charge Rs108 instead of Rs.360 from the people living below the poverty line in the District. Bashir Khan,Tariq Patri, Mohd Amin Butt, Anil Sharma, Javed Malipath, Gh.Hussain Gannie, Sunil Sharma, Mohd Ashraf Gannie, Sardar Satpal Singh and Ram Rattan Sharma were also present on the occasion. |
