Sharma unveils development agenda for Kishtwar
`Communal harmony key factor behind my win'

Kishtwar, Dec 24: Newly elected Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kishtwar Sunil Kumar Sharma while addressing a mammoth public gathering at historic Chowghan ground Kishtwar said that communal harmony and brotherhood are the key factors behind his win on Kishtwar seat from where he defeated National Conference stalwart Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo by 2852 votes in just concluded Assembly elections. He said that without support of over 7000 Muslim votes, he could never win. Sharma expressed his gratitude to the Muslim community for their overwhelming support in the form of votes. "I shall sacrifice my last blood drop to strengthen the communal harmony and brotherhood--- My victory is the testimony to the fact that all the people who had create the wedge between the two communities in Kishtwar for their political gains has lost the ground," said Sharma.
He said that people of both the communities have to break the wall of hatred erected between them by the vested interests.
He said that during his tenure as an MLA Kishtwar, he will focus on various developmental works, added that his main thrust will be jobs for unemployed youths, betterment of education standard, health facility, roads, RDD, Revenue, electricity and importantly bringing an end to drinking water scarcity in the District.
He also issued warning to the corrupt officials and vowed to fight to bring an end to corrupt practices in the district. He said that his aim is to carry all the stakeholders including the former MLA Kishtwar forward while forming a comprehensive developmental plan for the Kishtwar.
He said that he will work for the upliftment of all the people without considering their political affiliation.
He said that people of Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan, Padder, Nagsini, Kishtwar town and Mandal and expressed his sincere thanks to the voters who voted for them and also who did not vote for them. He also expressed thanks to women flock for voting generously for him and the party. Among the prominent who addressed the public rally today include Syed Ahmed Shah, Gul Hassan, Tariq Hussain Keen, Mohammad Shafi Najjar, Ravi Kumar, Retd Capt Hukum Chand, Akshay Kumar, Rajinder Kumar Sen, Ashish Sharma and others. On this occasion various people garlanded newly elected MLA Kishtwar by showering flower patels, presenting of skull cap and offering flower bookies. Many people also distributed sweets.
