Take ITeA chief to SKIMS: Local court to Kupwara jail authorities 12/27/2014 10:45:14 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 27: A local court in Kupwara district today directed jail authorities to take chairman of the Islami-Tanzeem-e-Azadi (ITeA) Abdul Samad Inquilabi to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for treatment. Official sources said Inquilabi, detained under unlawful activities in sub jail at Sogam in Kupwara, was produced before the Sessions Judge at Kupwara. The court remanded him to custody and fixed the next date of hearing on January 27. However, Inquilabi informed the court that despite directions by the jail doctor to shift him to hospital for treatment of heart ailment, he remained confined in the jail, where even basic medicines are not available. Later, the Sessions Judge directed the jail authorities to shift him to SKIMS for further treatment. Inquilabi was arrested for his anti-poll campaign in the state and lodged in a jail in Bandipora district.
