Kishtwar, Dec 27: President of BJP's Muslim Morcha, Syed Ahmed Shah today hit out at National Conference, Congress and others who are criticising his party's possible alliance with PDP.
He said as people of J&K had rejected both Congress and National Conference and voted for BJP and PDP in the assembly elections, time had come for BJP and PDP to join hands and work together for the betterment and upliftment of people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Shah, who had campaigned extensively for his party candidates, said that BJP, by joining the government, could fulfill the aspirations of people of Jammu and Ladakh regions, while PDP could do the justice with the people of Kashmir region where it gor maximum seats.
He said that those who were opposing the alliance between the BJP and PDP were the real enemies of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Praising Prime Minister Narender Modi, he said that it was the Modi government which helped the people of Kashmir in floods and added that it was NC-Congress leadership of the state which allegedly misused the funds provided by BJP-led NDA government to the state for the welfare of the flood affected people.
He said that BJP government at the Centre was committed for addressing the problems of people of Kashmir who chose ballot over bullet and showed their faith in democratic system of the country. "BJP government at the Centre will not let the people of Kashmir disappointed, despite the fact that party did not get any seat from there," he said.
He said that BJP-PDP alliance was in the best interest of the people of the state and added that Congress and NC were playing politics over the issue and wanted to remain in power by hook or crook.
He alleged that Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad was responsible for the lack of development in erstwhile Doda district. "Azad and NC are one in Kishtwar. Both have been praising each other," he said.
He said that people of Doda had rejected Azad and Congress and people of Kashmir had rejected NC so the two parties should stay away from power.
He called upon PDP leadership and party patron Mufti Mohammad Syed to join hands with BJP for overall development of the state.
