AIKS reposes confidence in BJP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 27: All India Kashmir Samaj (AIKS) convened the meeting of its core group to analyze and discuss the post-poll situation arising out of J&K election presided by Pandit Gautam Kaul, Acting President AIKS. The meeting discussed the role played by the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in this election which was commendable on many counts. One was their profound faith in BJP and its leader Narendra Modi who instilled a new hope in the KP community, which encouraged them to register their presence both as voters and effective campaigners for the party. The best example is the performance of the BJP in Habbakadal constituency where Moti Kaul, its candidate, came second by polling 2695 votes. AIKS needs to reiterate here that distance between victory and loss could have been narrowed down had the cumbersome process of M Form filling been simplified. However the best ever performance by the BJP in this constituency speaks about the hard work and efforts made by major Kashmiri Pandit organizations, the social activists and Kashmiri Pandits in general. The meeting rejected the canards spread by the forces inimical to KPs that they did not contribute much during the elections. Making it clear that Kashmiri Pandits enthusiastically participated and supported the Bhartiya Janata Party during recently-concluded elections in the valley as well as in Jammu, the meeting said Kashmiri Pandits demonstrated their unflinching and unabated faith in Narendra Modi, the towering leader of the world today. Incidentally 80% of votes polled by displaced Pandits were cast in favour of BJP. |
