Jammu, Jan 11: Indian Dental Association Jammu branch elected its executive body in the Annual General Body meeting (AGM) held here today.
Indian Dental Association is a professional, Non-Political association and its mission is to improve the oral health of the public by innovation in education, training, research, and related public health enhancement programmes.
Dr. Bhupinder Singh took over as the president, while Dr. Gautam Sharma was unanimously elected as the President of the association for the year 2016. Till then he will continue as General Secretary of the association. Dr. Rajiv Mengi Oral Pathologist at Institute of Dental Sciences will continue as the treasurer of the association. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ritesh Gupta outgoing president appealed to the entire Dental Surgeons of Jammu province to join the Indian Dental Association to make it a strong body and work for the upliftment of Dental profession.
Others who were elected included Dr. O. P.S ingh, Vice-President, Dr. Umang Jamwal as Asst. Secretary, Dr. Kunal Vuthoo as Convener CDE, Dr. Sarang Khajuria, Convener CDH and Dr. Himja Mengi as representative to state government.
IDA Jammu has been organizing dental health awareness camps, professional seminars and practical workshops for the dental fraternity. Members of the association present at AGM congratulated the new team.
Dr. Bhupinder appreciated the efforts of Dr. Gautam Sharma and Dr. Ritesh for successfully organizing the Mega State and Interstate Dental Conference in November, 2014. |
