NMC demands amendment in SRO-64

Jammu, Jan 11: National Mazdoor Conference has demanded immediate amendment in SRO-64 and appealed Governor NN Vohra to formulate comprehensive policy for regularization of all daily rated workers, casual /seasonal laborers, contractual and ad-hoc employees engaged in various departments.
Addressing activists, the speakers said that early amendment in SRO 64 was the need of the hour, which includes near 62,000 daily rated workers working in the various departments of the state government and public sector undertakings, adding that such an amendment in said SRO should immediate effected, so that new regularization policy become operational.
Among others who also spoke on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochar, Surinder Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Paramjeet, Barkat Ram, Sukhdev Singh, Krishan Lal and many others.
